“HOGTIED”

AORTAx brings crisp, elevated studio production to New York’s fetish underground in CONTRACULT Collective’s first single, “Hogtied.” With stylistic references to Madonna’s “Justify My Love” and de Palma’s Carrie, “Hogtied” harnesses the raw erotic energy of its dungeon setting. Entering an underground club, SVART finds himself in the crosshairs of two dommes. Winding his way deeper into the dungeon, SVART submits to their ceremony.

 LA industrial band CONTRACULT Collective (Roadrunner Records) approached AORTAx in Fall of 2019 to create a provocative, fetish-filled music video for the band’s first single “Hogtied.” Loosely based on an experience that was foundational in the formation of lead singer SVART’s queer identity, the video winds viewers through an NYC dungeon. AORTAx was hired to bring their extensive experience working with explicit and kink-based performers to the ambitious two-day shoot. After developing the treatment for “Hogtied” in close collaboration with the artists, AORTAx facilitated the project’s storyboarding, casting, intimacy coaching, production, and post-production.
